EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE CALL ME CALL MEEEEEEEEEEEEE CALL ME CALL MEEEEEEEEEEE
Ahh I love that song. The first time I heard it was on Nova when I was walking back from my last day of uni. It's just one of those songs that makes me excited because it reminds me of Summer and freedom! It just makes me want to dance. I really can't sit there and listen to it. My feet just start jiggling. I was at the Gal last night and the song came on. My stick in the mud friends didn't want to dance so I sat there trying to contain myself.
Then it came on 2 hrs later (yes, this is W'bool) and I just COULDN'T contain myself any longer. My silly friends were still parked on the couch and I said fuck that I'm going to dance! So I went up and danced with randoms and then sat down again quite calmly.

Let us not have Christ in Christmas. Let us just have another holiday (Holy-day?), where, for some reason unknown to a growing number of us, we give each other presents. It is a tradition, that is all we know. It has its own culture, all built around the worship of a man in red and a tree in green. Again, even though the basis is Christ, we do not want to offend anyone with the idea that we should worship the real meaning of this holiday. Would I be offended if someone said to me that they would not join in the Australia Day fun because they still carried citizenship of another country, even though they lived here permanently? I think I would. Why would they bother taking the day off if not to at least think about Australia Day. The same with Easter and Christmas. I believe that only those who are Christians should be allowed time off to celebrate Easter and Christmas if we no longer live in a Christian country. At least the hypocrisy would be gone. Why should anyone who is a non-Christian accept presents? What has Christmas to do with them? Or should I moderate my tone and say that we owe them the mercy that God has shown to us, and perhaps we can encourage their thinking anew about how Christmas and all of its celebrations came about.
For once, she has some sort of a point.
I've changed my mind, she doesn't have a point.
"Stupid people. I hate them."

I push open the old-style Irish pub door and wince as I’m instantly overwhelmed with the stench of beer and cigarette smoke. Emitting a warm, becoming smile, I acknowledge unfamiliar yet familiar faces that silently greet me.
“There’s nothing like the Sean,” grunt the regulars, drunkenly sipping at their pots.
They’ve got potential.
You envisage these guys in ten years time, seated sloppily in the same pub, on the same chair with the same blank expressions on their faces as they stare at the same grotty TV screen, watching the same game…
How I wish I could place myself in their shoes. I wonder if they feel fulfilment as they sip at their drinks and watch their beards and stomachs grow before their own eyes. Have they ever felt the essence of love, satisfaction, companionship and celebration? Do they ever feel an urge to step outside the square and do something different with their lives? To connect with people on many levels, to share part of yourself with someone and for them to share back?
Perhaps they don’t.
But perhaps they do.
Breaking free from the ropes of a country upbringing is a difficult, uphill struggle for many. Often youths are too content to settle their lives for the sake of convenience.
Youth is a rite of passage. For some, it is about struggling through adolescence in quest of dreams, purpose and friendship. For others, by choice, it is about monotony.
I wonder how these men will feel when they hit 40. Will they still be relaxed and easy at the bar on a Saturday night?
They’ll be the ones carving up the dance floor at our beloved C59 SClub7, grabbing at 17 year old girls and practically begging to buy them drinks.
Now who’s laughing?
Poor buggers.

Whitley is full of big sillies! Hawhawhaw I think I may have cracked how to make links. I feel like a clever girl. Go me.
Jesus etc.
Guess what I bought today? You never will. It's seriously cool. And (evidently) I don't buy cool stuff because you would never guess what it is!
IT'S A BRIGHT ORANGE BEANBAG FOR OUR HOUSE!
How incredibly exciting! YAYAYAY! It's so cool. I've always wanted a beanbag. Alas, at the moment it's just a beanskin, I haven't bought the "beans" that go inside it yet because if I do there's no way I'll be able to fit it in my Little Deuce Coup when I move back up to Melbourne. I'm moving out! YAYAY! With Matt and B! YAYAYAY! Without Adrian and Thom! YAY *sniff*!
** Please note that I put Adrian's name first. It's funny how people get into a habit of saying one person's name in front of another person's to the extent that it sounds a bit wrong when you say it the other way around. I think that's happened with Thom and Adrian, or was it Adrian and Thom?
I love the Beach Boys so much! I even bought their Best Of CD. You could either say I'm sad or admire my individuality. mEH! aT leasT i CAn TyPe, WHAT?!
I passed! I was so stressed on Thursday night about my marks. I was planning what I was going to say to my boss when I had to study for my sup! Yuk! But yay I'm halfway through my degree, which is slightly scary. Time flies when you're having fun...er...yeah. Stefan (my idol) has just scored a 50 in our main subject, AGAIN! That's the third 50 he's scored since he started Physio! Quite impressive, he really knows how much work he has to do to just scrape through. Ahhhh, love it! Go college, drinking and TV.
Talking about TV, I'm totally addicted to the OC. It's fantastic! All the other programs except for W&G and Friends bore me to tears, but when the OC hits the screen OH MY GOD you couldn't get me away from it, even during the ads! Pity I've missed most of the series this year because I was too stubborn to sit down and watch it for an hour each week, although in hindsight it was probably for the best.
Anyway, it's a beautiful day and my LDC needs a clean so I might go out and get a tan while scrubbing at the fading blue paint. Aww. He's so cute.
BYE!

Sunshine and Moi
I love the sunshine, it is so beautiful and it always makes me happy!
Sunshine + beach + holidays = HAPPY JAC!
All I need now is a few cocktails and a floatation aid and I could go sailing off into the sunset. Anyone want to join?

Home Sweet Home
Ahh, the eery sounds of bugs chirping and the waves rolling into the shore. You guessed it! I'm back in the 'Bool for Summer. My college days are now officially over. How weird.
I don't know where to start, maybe I won't start at all. I'm in a not-so-bothered mood. I want to talk on MSN but this stupid computer won't connect. Therefore I am missing my friends BOO HOO!
Love to all

Tap on my window
Knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful
I don't mind spending every day
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay a while
And she wiiiiiiilllllll be loved

Hayds' Insights
The Kalamajong tribe in Uganda think that they own all the cows in the world.
I am mildly shocked and considerably speechless by this. I'd like to make up something deep and intellectual about this topic but I'm not an Arts student and never will be. I do feel something about it but I don't have the energy to express it on paper.
"You're well educated so you would be worth quite a few cows."
Hayden loves cows.

Birds
"Oh they are beautiful creatures, flying through the air, dazzling us all with acrobatics of sublime beauty. And I hateessssss themmssss forevvveeeeerrr."
Dane really doesn't like birds. I don't know why? I mean, I love the two pidgeons that snuggle on the branch outside my window. They make me feel warm and fuzzy.

Oh dear. I can tell this will be the start of one big procrastination session (thanks Thom).
I hope you don't get cataracts from reading this *PINK* blog, but if you do, please tell me. I'll laugh. A lot. Until my cheeks start spasming and I can't possibly laugh any more.
Today signifies the last day of my theory exams for 2nd year. I've only got 2 pracs left now, and I finish on the 16th, yay! I hate being all couped up indoors studying Cajal Retzius cells and Benzodiazepines when I should be outside soaking up the Spring sunshine! Can't wait till Summer, although I'm going to miss everyone from Melbourne heaps, it'll be good to have no study to do and all the time in the world to be a bum.
Oh wait, I mean a BIGGER bum. At least I'm not an unstylish boy who never makes it to breakfast.
Much love, even to the unfortunately retarded.
